Map Name:	Ultima X

Map Maker:	spaceboy

E-Mail: davidw@next.com.au

Map Type:	There are four human/computer players in an alliance. There is one human/computer player as the enemy.

Special Win:	NONE

Special Loss:	NONE

Special Other:	Cooperative

Play-Tested:	Of course!

Setup Note: In a single-player game, playing as any one of the allied heroes should provide a challenge (though, due to the unpredictability of the four computer players, the level of this challenge will vary - my four playtesters have recorded winning times of between five and nine months). In a multi-player game, I strongly recommend a five player game, if possible. If not, then at least make sure the Purple player is human controlled. Due to the incompetence of the computer AI, it's tough to design a map that suits both human and computer opponents.

Ultima Note:	I've stolen the map and some characters from Origin's legendary Ultima series. Hopefully these will be familiar to - and appreciated by - any Ultima fan who plays this map. I've also added plenty of my own creations, and taken liberties with Britannian history, so don't expect it to be accurate in any way whatsoever! For those Ultima novices, I ought to mention a couple of things. Ultima is set in the land of Britannia, ruled by Lord British in his castle near the town of Britain. The Avatar is the hero in most of the games, assisted by his friends Iolo, Dupre, Shamino, Jaana, Julia, Sentri and Mariah, among others. Moongates are teleport-type devices scattered around Britannia to aid travel.

Gameplay Note:	Each of the four allied players begin with one hero near their home castle and one away. For Blue, Green and Red, this away hero should follow the events to find another town before the end of the first week. For Yellow, the home hero has to find the second town. The story and events may not make sense if you don't do this. And it's good advice for winning the map, anyway!
