***SPECIAL MULTIPLAYER INFO***
This version of Starfire has been altered to better
suit multiplayer play. The map was extremely difficult
before and players would often find themselves eliminated
by the computer player. While this is fine in a single-
player map, it defeats the purpose of the multiplayer
map. While this version should not be by any means easy,
I have attempted to curb some of the computer player's
might (mainly by reducing his resource stipend). I cut
it by about a factor of four and delayed it a week, but
IF YOU ARE SLOW, YOU WILL BE KILLED BY THE COMPUTER! So,
be aggressive.

Now, one more multiplayer thing:

If you want to play this map multiplayer, it should
work fine. However, due to potential balancing problems,
I'd recommend that you make an agreement with your
opponent to NOT enter the Plane of Air until either you
are him is eliminated (the Plane of Air is the beginning
of the End sequence; however, it can be entered early
and, with some luck, one player could gain an unfair
advantage in a multiplayer setting). This is
not an order (there's no way I could enforce it), but
merely a suggestion.

There is a very detailed main story
to this map with a special win condition to defeat a
certain computer hero. In a multiplayer setting, one
of the human positions will be eliminated before the final
hero is engaged. The human player still alive after
all other human players have been eliminated is the
winner of the map (in league terms) even though he has
not officially won the map. Players may agree before
playing the map to call the map a draw if one of the
human players is eliminated BEFORE any human/human battles
transpire; this will eliminate any hard feelings
and complaints to league officials that the map was
unfair - players can restart the map in the event that
this happens. Lastly, if no human player has won by
the time that time expires (there is a time limit), then
the map is a draw (or, the players may judge among
themselves who is the winner based on the strength of
their armies). If a draw is decided upon, players may
play again or select a different map. Any other issues
should be sent to an AW League coordinator or to myself.

Hope you enjoy and good luck!

p.s. All main story events (except the orb) are repeating
so that multiple players can visit them and follow the
story. Please forward a copy of this text file and
cronhist.txt to all members playing this map.
