Map Name:	Athland.mx2
Map Maker:	Keith Dunbar
E-Mail Address:	dunbar_k@hotmail.com

Map Type:	Single Player; Story-type, huge map. 1 Human 5 Computer
Language:	English

Description:	The King of Athland has oppressed his people long enough.
You must lead a rebellion, capture him and all his allies.

Special Win:	One side defeats the other
Special Loss:	Lose Hero: Aaron
Special Other:	Cooperative Blue/Green vs others

Notes:
There are some active sites that are not meant to be accessible: two graveyards, an oracle, and a shipwreck. They are there for visual purposes only.
There seems to be a bug with HOMM II, I believe that an ultimate artifact given to a computer player is supposed to disappear if that hero loses a battle; the story is laid out with this in mind; only sometimes the victor gets the artifact. If you are a lucky victor and get the artifact, the story will go slightly awry (just play along (: ).

Tips:
Write down all passwords; there are a lot of them. There are also a lot of informational/story events that you might want to take notes on.
Make sure that you ALWAYS leave one empty artifact slot; many (vital) artifacts are given via invisible events that only happen once--no empty spot and you'll never get that artifact.
The map has a lot of monster stacks. These grow through the game. Since this game is a story-type game, some of the stacks can get very big if you take too long. A good time-frame to shoot for is finishing between 11 and 16 months. There will be huge monster stacks, but you should have huge stacks of your own by then.
