  What is Color Magic?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  Color Magic is a game.  It's mine.  I hope it's good. :-)
  It is somewhat similar to "Lines", but it differs on the point of
  what figures can be assembled. You can read about these figures in
  Color Magic ABC Book. Actually I see no point in describing the
  taste of an orange ;-) Just start the game and see for yourself!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  How do I play it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  It isn't possible to explain the rules of Color Magic in a few
  words, so it's better to read Color Magic ABC Book (the help file,
  you can access it be pressing F1). For the beginners it is
  recommended to switch on an additional help window, containing the
  patterns of ALL the figures in Color Magic (button Show Figures,
  Ctrl-F).

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  The contents of the help file, help_eng.hlp
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  - On the essence of light (Lyrical introduction :-)
  - General rules of the game
  - Basics of computer colors
  - Color Magic figures
  - Difficulty levels
  - Scoring points
  - About the program

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  Features of version 2.1
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  This is a special New Year release (New-Year 2000!):
  - OS Windows 95/98/NT;
  - Video mode 800x600, small system fonts (96 dpi);
  - HiColor (16 bit) and better;
  - English interface and help;
  - Making *.ini and *.sco files on the spot, if they are absent;
  - The program makes no changes in the registry;
  - The high scores tables are local (external changes in the tables
    are not tracked in the process of the game).

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  Playing MIDI files
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  If the option Play Music is on, all the MIDI files that are in the
  current folder, are placed into a list and played one after another.
  Thus, you can copy your favorite MIDI files to Color Magic folder
  and listen to them while playing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  The known problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  At present, I'm aware of two of them:
  - when using larger system fonts (not 96dpi) the text foes out of
    range;
  - On the "Newbie" level not all the triples disappear :-(

----------------------------------------------------------------------
  The official conclusion
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  Program Color Magic is freeware and is distributed as is.

  I know that Color Magic is far from perfection: it still has lots
  of room for improvement, and, the most important thing is that it
  has gone only through initial tests, so it is possible that it
  contains some bugs. Unfortunately, right now I cannot continue
  working on it :-(

  However, I do hope for the better. Probably I'll find some
  interested publisher, or a team that would want to work with me -
  then I'm sure to make version 3.0!

  In any case, write to me - your impressions, suggestions and
  information on bugs in the program are going to be greatly
  appreciated.

  Yours sincerely,
  	Peter Huggy  (E-mail: peterh@mail.ru, http://newgame.agava.ru)
