                        Casino Night

Windows Casino
Windows Casino consists of four casino betting games:

Craps
Black Jack
Roulette
Video Poker

As you move from game to game, you carry your money with
you, just as if you were walking around a real casino
carrying a handful of chips.

Playing Windows Casino
Playing Windows Casino is easy. When you double click
the Windows Casino Icon to run the program, the first
thing you will see is the Player Information dialogue.
Enter your name and press <ENTER> or click the OK button
when you are done.

Place your bets and watch your money disappear!

Winning the Game
There really is no "win" or "lose" in Windows Casino.
You can consider yourself a winner if you end up with
more money than you started with.

If you have more money than the lowest entry in the
high rollers list when you exit the game, your name,
money and the date of the game will be inserted in
the list.

Changing Player Information
The Player Information dialog box is where you set/change
the names of the players. Enter the names of from one to
four people, using the <Tab> key to move from name to name.
Press enter when you are done to return to the game.

Although the bankroll (if any) is displayed, you can only
change this value using the Reset Money button, which sets
the player's money back to the starting value.

NOTE: If you enter a new name, that player's money will
be reset to the starting value without affecting the
other players.

the player's bankroll. Click the OK button when you are

Black Jack
Black Jack is one of the most popular Casino games. The
object of the game is to have the total point value of
the cards dealt to you exceed the point value of the
dealer's hand without going over 21.

If you draw cards that make your total go over 21, you bust
and automatically lose that hand.

When you click the Deal button, you and the dealer are both
dealt two cards. Both of your cards are face up and the
dealer gets one card face up and one card face down.

If your first two cards total 21, you have Black Jack. If
both you and the dealer have Black Jack, it is a standoff
and no one wins. A winning Black Jack pays off at 3 to 2.

Splitting Hands - If your first two cards have the same
numerical value, you may split them into two hands. The amount
of your original bet will be deducted from your bankroll and
you will receive one more card.

Insurance - If the Dealer's face-up card is an ace, you will
be given the opportunity to purchase Insurance. If the
dealer does have Black Jack, Insurance pays off at 2 to 1.

Craps
Craps is a fast-moving dice game that allows you to
make many different types of bets. If it seems
bewildering at first, stick to Pass, Don't Pass
and Come bets.

Pass Line - If you place a bet on the Pass Line, and
the first roll of the dice is 7 or 11, you win
automatically. If a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, you lose or
"crap out". Any other number becomes the point. The
Shooter can continue rolling the dice until he either
makes this number or "sevens out" by rolling a seven.
If the Shooter "sevens out" you lose your bet. Pass
Line pays even money.

Don't Pass Line - Once the point has been established,
you can bet that the Shooter will "seven out" before
making his point. Don't Pass Line pays even money.

Come - After the point has been established, the rules
for the Come bet are the same as for Pass Line. Come
pays even money.

Place Bets - Place bets are located in the upper left of
the betting field. You can bet that 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10
will come up before the Shooter "sevens out". Place bets
on 4 or 10 pay off at 9 to 5, place bets on 5, 6, 8 or 9
pay off at 7 to 5. Because of the nature of the odds,
place bets must be made in increments of five.

Hardways - Hardway bets are located in the lower right-hand
side of the betting field. Hard Six (two 3's) and Hard Eight
(two 4's) pay 9 to 1. Hard Four (two 2's) and Hard Ten
(two 5's) pay 7 to 1. You win if the hardway you are betting
on comes up before the number is rolled with some other
combination of dice or before the Shooter rolls a 7.

The following bets are one-roll bets. In other words, they
win or lose depending on the next roll of the dice.

Field - If 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 is rolled, you win. All
numbers pay even money except 2 and 12 which pay double.

These one-roll bets are located in the lower right-hand corner
of the betting field:

Any 7 - If 7 rolls, you are paid 4 to 1.

Any Craps - if 2, 3 or 12 roll, you win and are paid 7 to 1.

Two Craps or Aces - If rolled, you are paid 30 to 1.

Twelve Craps - If rolled, you are paid 30 to 1.

Three Craps or Ace/Deuce - If rolled, you are paid 15 to 1

Eleven - If rolled, you are paid 15 to 1

To change the amount of your bet, click the up and
down arrows next to the Coins value. The minimum and
maximum values depend on the current options settings
as does the bet increment.

on which you wish to bet.

When you are done making changes, click the OK button
to continue.

bottom of the window, but you can only change it by
exiting and returning to this menu.

Once you have finished making your bets, click on the wheel to
throw the ball.

Video Poker
In Video Poker, you are dealt a five-card draw poker hand.
You may draw a single time. Payoffs are shown on the Video
Poker window and are as follows:

To keep a card, click the check box below the card you want
to keep. Only the cards whose check boxes are clear will be
dealt again.

To change the amount of your bet, click the up and
down arrows next to the Coins value. The minimum and
