Xpadder
(ver 5.3)
Freeware

Xpadder is a keyboard mapper that converts button presses
from a connected Gamepad Controller into custom defined
keystrokes. Any application that can recognize a keybord
key can be thus controlled.

Xpadder is only a middleman between the controller and the
application (game), so if the controller requires a driver,
it must be installed before Xpadder can see it as being
connected to the PC (e.g., this is similar to a scanner
program requiring that a scanners driver be installed, so
it can tell that the scanner has been connected to the PC).

Xpadder does not require installing. Just copy the program
into the directory of your choice. The program will create
a file "Xpadder.ini" in the directory you start the program
from. An interesting feature is that you can add a picture
of your gamepad, and place the key symbol over each button,
allowing you to easily tell what each button is set to do.

Note that this is the last version offered as FREEWARE.
