# Pager

The unit at [text/pager.fs] is a way to interactively control a IO stream.
It's a "serial pager", that is, the lowest common denominator, paging-wise.
It doesn't require a [io/grid] and simply inserts a "Next page..." line at
regular intervals, waiting for user input before continuing. Pressing any key
shows the next page, pressing 'q' calls "abort" (this generally returns to
prompt).

The page works through the "page" word, which runs the following word wrapped
in a pager. For example:

  console f"xcomp/boot.fs" page spitclose

This will spit the contents of [xcomp/boot.fs] to the console while paging.
This works by temporarily overriding "RTYPE" with a line counter.
