# HAL bit routines

The unit at [hal/bit.fs] is for the same kind of words as in [lib/bit], but for
words that greatly benefit from native implementations.

Also, because the implementation of this unit requires assemblers, it means that
assemblers can't depend on [hal/bit], but depending on [lib/bit] is alright.

## API

findbit0 ( n -- idx )
Starting at b0, search for the index of the first unset bit in "n".
  For example, 3 yields 2, $17 yields 3, -1 yields 32.

bitscnt ( n -- cnt )
Count the number of set bits in "n".
  For example, 3 yields 2, $17 yields 4, -1 yields 32.
