Dhamma 101 FAQ Discussion is on the mailing list dhamma-list@yahoogroups.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: So how does it work? A: Once a week I'll post to the list, enumerating one or more lists on an important aspect of the Dhamma. There will be links for further reading, some of my own poorly reflected thoughts on the subject, and a kind invitation to share your input. All my posts will have "101:" in the subject line. You are encouraged to keep it like that in your replies, and to use it in any threads you start on the subject. This way, people can filter the posts. Q: Where do these lists come from? A: While someone suggested David Snyder's Book, I don't own a copy (yet). Also, there are other lists, such as the Anguttara Nikaya in the Canon itself, and reference indices like the "Index by Numbers" on accesstoinsight.org, the table of contents of many dhamma books, and so on. So I decided to compile a list of lists myself, building on anything I have access to. I'm willing to put this list online somewhere, and to collaborate with anyone interested. Q: Who are you anyway, teaching Dhamma? A: I don't intend to *teach* Dhamma - and please, please tell me if I ever seem to be doing so. I'm a long-time lurker on D-L, and Stephen's idea seems good, and I hope to *learn* from you all. I'd like to tickle you into sharing your significant insights. If any one of the Venerable Bhikkhus on the list would like to expound on the weekly subject, or even suggest a new subject, I'd be more than happy, of course.
