RDIR Version 1.07 by R.P.McCormick Registration $10.00 UTIL OCT90 GRAPH RELATIVE DIRECTORY SIZE: CGA EGA VGA HERC FILES: rdir107.sdn New Release RDIR.EXE Version 1.07 Oct 5, 1990 Finds the total size of each subdirectory at the current level. Optionally shows a pie chart with directories sorted by size. Has been tested on CGA, color & Mono, EGA, VGA and Hercules. On CGA color I have had to leave off the percentage, and total size. The percentages are integers, so 49.9% reads 49%. If less than 1%, it prints a dot. It does not include the size of Files at the current level. There is no limit on the number of directories at any level, but I have limited the nesting of subdirectories to 16. I have seen other utilities similar to this, but the one I tried gave the wrong totals and tended to crash & lock up the computer. It also had no author, which made me suspicious. I liked the concept, though, and felt there was a need for something to point out where most of the disk space was being used up. So I wrote my own version. That curious mark in the lower right corner is my logo. RDIR was compiled using Borland's C++. It can also provide an indication of where your priorities are. For example, on my disk, most of the space is devoted to bulletin board communications, while the office computer is overwhelmingly devoted to games. If you find this to be a useful aid, any contribution made out to the name below, would be appreciated. And would provide incentive to offer new productivity tools. Also, any comments or suggestions are welcome. Robert P.
