Peruse v1.10 Falk Data Systems Registration $0.00 UTIL JAN91 PERUSE FALK LIST TEXT READER BROWSE FILES: prsu11-a.sdn prsu11-b.sdn Update Peruse is a file reader, a program enabling you to examine or "peruse" the contents of disk files. It can read and display ASCII (text) files or binary (non-text) files. Peruse can access an almost unlimited number of files at a time and those files can be of any size. Peruse can display the contents of files in either text or hex formats. Peruse provides complete search, block and printing capabilities. It also supports 43/50 line modes on EGA and VGA adapters. Peruse has a swapping shell-to-DOS capability that provides up to 600Kb of free RAM in the DOS shell. It includes extensive context-sensitive and indexed (hypertext) help, available at the touch of a key (or Click of a mouse). Peruse can be loaded as a swapping memory-resident program keeping only about 7Kb of normal RAM memory. It is able to swap to XMS or EMS memory, or to disk. One of the most interesting features of Peruse is its mouse support. Peruse can be controlled almost entirely by mouse. You can load peruse with hundreds of files, prop your feet up on your desk, sit back and easily read file after file, jumping back and forth between them, printing selected files and more, all without touching the keyboard. Using only the mouse you can control virtually every capability of Peruse. Peruse is also customizable. You can customize many features of Peruse with the easy to use customizing program that is included in the Peruse package. Best of all, Peruse is free! One excellent use for Peruse is while you are evaluating a new shareware program. Perhaps you don't want to print the documentation files just yet, as you prefer to experiment with the program first. Simply load Peruse as a memory resident program, and tell it to read all the documentation files for the program you are evaluating. Then, as you are experimenting with the program, any time you need to refer to the documentation simply pop up Peruse and browse to your heart's content. What could be easier? If you decide that you want to print a particular file, or even a small portion of that file, Peruse makes it easy. You can print any or all of a file while Peruse is popped up, without ever leaving the program you are evaluating. Peruse is ideal for anyone who spends time evaluating new programs. Give Peruse a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Besides, the price is right - it's free! Hardware Requirements: IBM compatible, 512K RAM. Other Requirements: DOS 2.10 or higher. _____________________________________________________________ (SDA format (c)Copyright 1990 The SDN Project - SDNet/Works!) _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________
