MSI Menu System 1.4 Larry Rice Registration $ (doc) UTIL MAY91 MSI MENU RICE DOSSHELL SHELL BATCH WINDOW FILES: msi14.sdn Update Release The MSI Menu System 1.4 provides a colorful, windowed Shell for DOS. Everything needed to create and maintain menus is included in the program, including a batch file editor. Special MSI features include: * Password protection for EACH menu option * U-define help screen for each menu * 'Lockable' menus to prevent accidental changes * Resident & non-Resident System calls * 'Text Only', non-selectable menu options * Own fore/background colors for menu options * 8 selectable menus backdrop colors * 22 different menu borders * Stepped, Overlay and Shadowed menus * Up to 100 sub-menus * E-Z Maintenance Three registration levels, starting at just $15 (U.S.). Current batch files may be used or new ones can be created in the Menus Editor. MSI internal batch files are stored as part of the menu definitions and issued through a single DOS '.bat' file. This reduces file maintenance to a minimum. Pre-defined menu settings make creating sub-menus quick and easy. Each menu has a Name, optional Prompt Line and up to 11 menu options. Mix selectable options with non-selectable 'Text Only' strings to add important notes, reminders or extra help right on the menu. A help screen is available for each menu with the F1 key. Help text is also stored with the menu definition for easy access and maintenance, editable within MSI. The same editor functions are available whether you are defining a menu option string, password, help screen or internal batch file. One set of easy to remember (most shown on-screen as you edit...) editing commands is used throughout the program. A special 'Dual' option mode lets you execute a set of batch commands, with MSI still Resident, then display a sub-menu, with its own options and/or help text. A second set of batch commands can then be executed when exiting to the previous menu. This mode is useful for managing TSRs and changing working directories. Hardware Requirements : IBM compatible computer. EGA/VGA Monitor. HD or Floppy. Other Requirements : MS-DOS 3.0 or higher. _____________________________________________________________ (SDA format (c)Copyright 1990 The SDN Project - SDNet/Works!) _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________
