DRAFT CHOICE v1.4 TRIUS REGISTRATION $ 40.00 GRAP MAY90 DRAFT CHOICE TRIUS CAD DRAW FILES: drftch14.sdn Update Draft Choice is a versitile drawing, drafting and CAD program from the same people who make the AS-EASY-AS spreadsheet. NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: The Ver 1.3, manual just returned from the printer and its already out of date. Sorry but we got a little carried away adding improvements and new features. The following Commands are new or enhanced from those found in version 1.3 and are based largely on the feedback from our registered users. o IMPORTANT NOTE: To select any menu command you can type just the first letter of the command. For example to draw a line just type the letters DL which stands for Draw Line. o F3-KEY. A built in formula calculator can be accessed by pressing the F3 function key. A dialog window will appear which requests a formula. Simply type the formula and then press the enter key. The result will replace the formula in the dialog window. To exit from this mode press the ESCAPE key twice. Note that a complete set of math functions is supported and includes the following (plus all the standard math operators ): SIN, COS, TAN , ASIN, ACOS, SQRT, IF, EXP, LN, LOG Example: Press F3, Type: SIN(45)*2 [enter] The displayed result will be 1.414.... Press ESC twice to exit from the CALC mode. o F4-KEY. This function key is used to toggle between two modes of object selection (used for the EDITING commands). The two modes are WINDOW and PICK. The window mode requires that a window be placed around the group of objects. Multiple objects may be selected using the WINDOW mode. The PICK mode uses a small (8 x 8 pixel) box which must be placed directly on top of the object and then the enter key is pressed. Only a single object at a time may be selected using this mode. NOTE: To exit from the selection mode you MUST PRESS ESCAPE (or the RT button on the mouse). You can toggle between either the WINDOW or PICK modes at any time by pressing the F4-Key. The cursor has four separate forms to distinguish between selection modes. It can be either a full screen cross-hair (used for drawing), a small cross hair (used for window selection), a pick box (used to select a single object) and a mouse pointer used to select dialog window choices (only with mouse driver). o F10-KEY. The ability to attach to existing objects is activated by pressing the F10 function key which presents a dialog window. You have a choice of attaching to the start, end or midpoint to the object. o The number of displayed files has been increased to 9 per window. Files are sorted with subdirectory names appearing on the bottom of the list. o You can turn off the Confirmation Verify Dialog box when erasing objects. (An erased object may be restored by selecting the EDIT UNDO command). o The EDIT UNDO command will now allow up to 200 objects to be restored to their original condition. o Printer Support has been expanded to include the EPSON LQ2500 or compatible 24 pin printers and the high resolution printing mode of the regular EPSON printers has been enhanced with a multiple pass method. o A new PLOT BAUD command allows you to modify the baud rate, stop bits, data bits of the com port. o In the OPTION DEFAULT menu three new choices have been added. - PICK allows you to set the size of the pick window displayed during editing/selection modes. - BASESCALE allows you to adjust the internal scale factor so that it is displayed as 1.0 . - DOTSPACE allows you to globally change the spacing factor used for line styles (dotted, dashed etc). o The command OSHELL allows you to exit temporarily from draft choice to the operating system. To return to DRAFT CHOICE type EXIT and return. (SDA format (c)Copyright 1990 The SDN Project & SDNet/Works!)
