You can draw two or three dimensional drawings. Drawings are object oriented so elements in the drawing can be independently saved, loaded, rotated, moved, and magnified at any time during the development of a drawing. A complete macro language lets you instruct DANCAD3D to carry out tasks such as robotic simulations and the production of animated motion pictures. DANCAD3D prints surprisingly sharp and crisp lines on Epson-IBM compatible 9 or 24 pin dot matrix printers. DANCAD3D has very powerful lettering commands and automatic dimensioning. DANCAD3D works in any system of units, from light years down to microns. When used with DANCAM and DANPLOT (disk xxx) DANCAD3D lets you prepare tool paths that let you manufacture actual parts. So DANCAD3D not only lets you design, animate, and draft your projects - you can now automatically make any part, even complex three dimensional components. Since DANCAD3D is fully three dimensional tool paths can be generated for any shape, even ones described by mathematical formula. DANCAD3D is useful for many different applications: ~ Mechanical drawings and technical illustrations ~ Business forms of many kinds. ~ Page layouts which combine text and drawings ~ Automatic computer slide shows, and 3D computer animation ~ Engineering simulation to verify the fit of three-dimensional shapes ~ Produce two or three-dimensional DANCAM tool path files. DANCAD3D supports many plotters and can automatically select up to 127 different pen types. DANCAD3D now supports 300 dpi HP-PCL compatible Laser printers like the LASERJET II series, as well as working on laser printers that use PostScript and HPGL codes. Manuscript quality drawings can be produced on imagesetters like the Linotronic 300. DANCAD3D now offers improved ease of use by having the mouse point and click on most commands. Operation of drawing and menu selection can be done with a mouse, 3D trackball, or the normal keyboard keys. The animation feature in DANCAD3D is a useful engineering tool since you can use DANCAD3D to make an animated close-up of moving parts in a layout drawing. DANCAD3D has these new features: ~ Curve fitting in two, three, or more dimensions ~ On screen see what you are doing for drag, rotate, and magnify ~ Windowing, clipping, and other advanced editing features ~ Measure angles and distances between any two points in a drawing ~ A full 90 pages of documentation on the shareware disks ~ Automatic macro file generation to teach DANCAD3D special tasks ~ Automatic backup for protection against errors while drawing ~ Point and click on a directory of filenames ~ New Animation feature to display up to 999 drawing frames This new version of DANCAD3D comes with new demo macro files, and new printer drivers so be sure to order all five disks! << Note: The program DANMOVIE is no longer needed since DANCAD3D now has an ANIMATE command built in. >> _____________________________________________________________ (SDA format (c)Copyright 1990 The SDN Project - SDNet/Works!) _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________
