Envoy includes many advanced features such as : o Terminal communications Communications parameters are easily set by using the Envoy menu, by entering script commands, or by setting up a command file. Envoy allows you to edit text you have received before writing to disk and to create messages to send to a remote computer. o A complete text editor The editor includes all standard editing functions. You can reconfigure the Envoy editor by redefining the MACRO commands which are assigned to the keys at startup. You can execute a sequence of edit commands by pressing a single key. You can execute all of the commands in a file by pressing a single key. You can even assign DOS commands to a key so that pressing a single key will execute another program from inside the Envoy. o File transfer Envoy supports the most common file transfer protocols : XMODEM, XMODEM CRC, 1K XMODEM, and YMODEM. You can attach and run external protocols from inside Envoy. o Infinite capture buffer The editor uses all available memory up to 640 Kb so that you can edit very large files. When you are communicating with a remote computer, incoming text is stored using all available memory. o A versatile script language The Envoy command language is easy to use. It includes advanced flow control logic including IF...ELSE... and JUMP commands. You can pass parameters to a command file and can assign a command file to a keyboard key. This allows you to automate your logon. o Chain to DOS o Source Code The source code for the ENVOY program is available for a fee. Turbo C and Turbo Pascal implementations are available. You may modify the source code to build a custom version of the ENVOY code for your own use. You may not distribute the source code or any modified version of the ENVOY code.
