       Busy morning.  Cleaned some house.  Took the recyclables and 
       hazardous household/e-waste to the Recycling Center.  I 
       usually do this twice a year.  The center was quite busy 
       since it was sunny this morning.  Now it is overcast with 
       some moisture in the forecast for later this evening.  I 
       average around $50US for the recyclables.  This round, I got 
       $47US.  Not bad.  Typically, I go down the street for firewood
       with the payout, but since my wood pile is still good, there 
       is a surplus of $47US.  Since the kids help out some with the 
       recycling, I decided to give each of them $10US and will take 
       the family out to eat later on.  Not bad for ca$h 4 tra$h!

       Recycling and repurposing has become a regular habit of mine.  
       Unfortunately, sometime it can be a chore and take up too 
       much space or produce too much clutter.  I have tried to 
       minimize some of this in the garage by keeping separate bins 
       for the trash we separate.  I even set up a pulley system to 
       store our recyclables in the rafters of the garage so it does 
       not take up floor space.[3]  Overall, I think the effort and 
       hassle is worth it and I feel like we are doing our part in 
       reducing landfill waste.  Unfortunately, I have heard stories 
       where some of the recyclables still end up there.  It makes 
       me sad, but there is not much I can do about that.  For now, 
       I will keep doing what I can with the recyclables.
