       People  use their  gopher holes  as  FTP alternative  or, for  example,
       university courses  notebook. Sane people  didn't even put  such gopher
       holes  in phlog  list. Until  update they  weren't noticeable.  This is
       wrong automation. It certainly could be abused, but not in such a silly
       way.
       
       As consequence I finally added subscription feed to my phlog. [1]
       
       Scrapers like bongusta are  absolutely personalized. Consider more than
       10 phlogs  in phlogosphere; I certainly  won't visit scraper of  all of
       them. Consider  I don't  share interests with  logout/kensanata/jynx or
       others providing public scraper faces, and even if I share I would have
       to visit  rest of my subscriptions  by other means. So  they make sense
       only as your personal feed reader.
       
       Also since it's ~300 gopher servers  and some hundred phlogs, why won't
       you spread appeal to put a damned subscription feed, instead of chewing
       over  scrapers for  second  or  third round  (excuse  me kensanata  and
       dbucklin)? I understand writing scraper is good exercise which even has
       good application, I even sketched one, but this is getting wrong way. [2]
       
       From  top  phlog hostings  of  tilde.town,  grex.org, sdf[-eu].org  and
       bitreich,  only bitreich  folks  got  it right  and  have feeds.  Since
       mkgopher  is  already at  MA  hands,  mkgopherspace  is most  used  for
       phlogging on  SDF and its phlog  front page can be  ambiguous to parse,
       it's  reasonable to  update  one  with "generate-feed"  post-publishing
       operation.
