### Re: favourite software (revisited)
I used to drink heavily. So when I drank twice above "too much" I
barely understood whose was laptop I used, I surely didn't remember
what I installed there. And then there's program called pdmenu, which
gives ncurses interface to debian application menu. Typing being drunk
is problematic and pdmenu helps you choose your favourite software with
just arrows, enter and escape. Pdmenu is software by Joey Hess. Thank
you, Joey.

Was curious what is it.
I checked khzae.net s1000d toolset - while I searched "wtf s1000d",
crucial search terms appeared to be "s1000d/dita vs markdown", leading
to these two:

### Lurking around gopher documentation
Bottom at khzae page referenced RFC4266 which somehow avoided my
attention; I did search RFC titles for "gopher" - indeed there were two
docs (other one being 1436). So I checked what is it about - it was
from 2005 and contained gopher+ bullshit. So I searched RFC titles for
RFC4266 author (P. Hoffman), that led me to RFC4156 "The wais URI
Scheme" with HISTORIC status.
Wiki has something to tell about WAIS and Gopher: [4]
And wiki has entire chapters on jughead and relates which describe ways
of searching gopher not only by titles (like veronica) but - imagine it
- BY CONTENT. Unbelievable.
