Hackaday has a new article out. Then again, it's more of a history piece
       for those less aware:

       https://hackaday.com/2021/09/28/gopher-the-competing-standard-to-www-in-the-90s-is-still-worth-checking-out/

I'm also surprised more IoT microcontrollers don't use gopher given it's
dead simple vs https/html/json. The IoT device being micro-gopher servers
so any client (homehub, phone, workstation) just queries it.

Maybe Gemini can help fill that modern needs for those needing Gopher+TLS
(which should be possible with `gopher CLI commands | openssl s_client
-connect gopher-srv-behind-ssl:sslport` # completely untested being brain
       speghetti atm)
