SUBJECT: .. text/enriched vs. gopher clients?

Yeah, I mean it doesn't bug me as much as it seems to you, maybe.

I've really liked what I've seen of gemini so far. Maybe as much the
actual writing comprising its pages as anything else -- I especially
like solderpunk's writing on technical minimalism -- but it also works
better than gopher on my phone despite a somewhat buggy client, I
must admit, just because of the way lines wrap wherever.

Based on my positive reading experience using gemini I was going
to make a gemini page (eventually) to describe something I'm doing,
but late in the evening got turned off when reading about the
formatting language syntax. Maybe it's not as bad, but I'm having to
write markdown for work and find it kind of annoying. When I saw
gemtext used the same heading characters I was turned off
and decided on gopher instead, at least for now. So maybe we share
some dislike of the syntax, but I haven't given it much of a
       chance yet.
