       Hello,
       
       I take the liberty of digging out this conversation since I have the same 
       problem with some UTF-8 characters.  Mostly I can't see French accents and 
       some others UTF-8 specifics characters in lynx(1) and mutt(1).  I have no 
       problem to write/read them with, for instance, less(1), jmacs(1) or cat(1).
       
       In my lynx(1) configurations files I have everything configured for UTF-8 
       (Display charset and Assumed document character set).  Plus I've tried to 
       `export TERM=linux'; but no luck...
       
       For good measure, I have to add that I have in my ~/.profile:
       
       export LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
       export LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
       export LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"
       
       Anyone have any more insight please?
