I don't think that's what anyone really wants. On the other hand when
looking how commmunities developed I think there were points in time
where at least technical communities were not bothered with extreme
trolling for instance. It's crazy that in general every online
community needs to worry now about all this stuff.

       > Then when you are in public, say whatever you want, with your mouth -
loudly enough for everyone to hear.

Well I guess people have the luxury to do this and do it. I have been
on demonstrations and I have seen people with starkly opposing opinions
with a track record of breaking public peace and spreading hate be able
to demonstrate with the police facilitating this while at the same time
taking measures to not repeat recent violations by letting everyone go
through time-consuming checks. And that's great, everyone can voice
their opinion, in the U.S. or in my case in Germany. And really, to
articulate an opinion, you need to construct sentences. The amount of
entropy you can carry with some upsetting imagery or catch phrase is
       very low anyway.

So lately I've been thinking a lot about free speech and I think the
concept most often discussed includes literally anything. But really,
the reason people care about free speech and why it's included in
constitutions is that people can articulate opposing opinions. That
hasn't always been like this. Journalists in many places of the world
must fear getting imprisoned for reporting neutrally on daily politics.

That said, fraud is also not free speech but at the same time that's
what arguably some now infamous tweeters did and what contributed to
       the whole discussion...
