       I want to make clear:  I am angry at the police officers in Uvalde, TX who 
       did nothing in the exact moment and situation for which we have armed them 
       and entrusted them with the legal power to kill.  I am NOT angry with 
       police in general.  I have friends who were/are on the force.  I have had 
       to call to police several times in my former high crime city. And you know 
       what?  They got out of the car with guns drawn and flashlights and went in 
       the building during some burglaries.  CREDIT DUE.
       
       Even as a center leftie, I think this whole "defund the police" and 
       "abolish ICE" is sophomoric nonsense.  REFORM, yes.  Eliminate?  Get real.  
       I suspect massive numbers in the force are walking around with PTSD.  They 
       could all use free on-going therapy as a part of their benefits.  (As could 
       combat vets.)
