       SUBJECT: major server upgrade for SDF cluster

       We have the opportunity to purchase a stack of 10 HP DL360 Gen 9 servers 
       with dual CPUs 24 - 48 core, 200GB RAM and SSD local disk.  These would 
       replace our existing SuperMicro dual CPU 8 core 16GB NFS clients.
       
       Additionally we would also upgrade our back end 1000MB ethernet to 10GbaseT 
       with a new switch to improve NFS read writes.
       
       We hope to complete this work by November once we have the hardware.
