       SUBJECT: VPS servers are upgrading!
       DATE: 26-Oct-20 18:33:21

All VPS servers at SDF are upgrading their clean install images as follows:

       NetBSD-8 NetBSD-9.1
       OpenBSD 6.3 OpenBSD 6.8
       FreeBSD 11.2 FreeBSD 12.1
       DragonFly 5.2.2 DragonFly 5.8.3
       Bell Labs Plan9 386 9Front amd64 "Email Schaden"
       Debian 9 Debian 10
       Ubuntu 18.04.1 Ubuntu 20.10
       CentOS 7.2.15.11 CentOS 8.2.2004
Oracle Solaris 11.3 Oracle Solaris 11.4
       GNU/Hurd remains 0.9

They are now or soon to be available across all VPS servers to VPS members.
Your individual machine images will be not upgraded. If you wish to take
advantage of the new systems follow these steps:

       1. back up any data on your current vm you want to keep and transfer it to
          another machine
       2. shutdown your vm
       3. use the 'x' option to do a fresh image copy.
       4. boot your new machine
       5. restore from your back up

Another benefit of upgradating particuarly for the 'console-less' images is
that you will now gain console access by default.
