          The measure of possessions for each person is the body
       
       I really like this one.  A reminder that there is an easy way to
       determine what I need and do not need as well as recognition that
       what is needed is fairly easy to satisfy in most circumstances.
       not that it is always easy to follow this, as it is easy to live
       in excess of this and so even a life of supposed moderation is
       one of extravagance in comparison to the austerity of contentment
       with satisfying necessity.  You will definitely find those close
       to you pushing back against the perceived unnaturalness of this.
       My own experience is to proceed with small reductions and to live
       a life that seeks not immediate austerity, but one that
       habitually evaluates your actions and asks if what we really
       need, and whether or not we could be just as happy without it.
