          try not to be carried away...since if you [gain] time and
          delay you will control yourself more easily.
       
       I find this to be wonderful advice.  It is quite the discipline,
       but if you can slow yourself down just a bit, the ability to be
       thoughtful in your responses makes everything not just easier, but
       better, since you have had time to consider the ramifications of
       your response and how to attain the best outcome.
       
       The other element of this section is equally good.  Reminding
       ourselves that it is within our power to be insulted or not is a
       good way of taking back control of what would otherwise be a
       situation that gives power to those who do not intend good for us.
