bitlbee

       This week I have started using bitlbee on a regular basis. I had
       tried it for a short while several months ago but I hadn't decided to
       become a full time user. There were two main reasons for that: First,
       I was too used to my graphical clients (usually amsn and occasionally
       emesene) and second, I always used centerim (formerly known as
       centericq) on the cli.
       
       So what happened that made me change my mind? First, I suddenly
       stopped using gui clients and exclusively used centerim. I do love
       centerim but then having an irc client 24/7 (thanks to irssi proxy) I
       thought that it would be a great idea to use bitlbee.
       
       The process was absolutely painless because instead of installing the
       program I connected to one of the public services. So simply
       
       /connect im.bitlbee.org
       
       And then once connected type help. And you are good to go.
