       As several visitors have noted, on a chatty day it does not take
       long for posts to drop off the ledger and any interesting content
       contained is essentially lost.  While that is the nature of the
       ethereal internet and to some extent was one of the ideas behind
       the forum, it needn't be a binary choice, there can be degrees of
       ethereality.
       
       There is now a bottle cellar[0] linked off nforum.  To keep the
       forum spry the number of retained posts is 20.  Older posts will
       be kept in the cellar and are searchable using the same extended
       regular expressions as egrep(1).  For now, no truncation will be
       applied to the archives.
