Seminary itself is to the north. A plain bench against the

south wall invites the weary traveller to rest a little.

cobblestone roadway equidistant from four of the main shops in town.

Main Street extends eastward and westward, while Bridge Street 

stretches on towards the north and south.  A stone stair off to the

side leads upward. Along the side of the stone stair is a bronze plaque.


A tree off to the side bears a news scroll. The weathered parchment

is crudely nailed to the trunk of the tree with metallic nails. A 

second scroll, much newer than the first, is carefully attached to

a low limb so as not to harm the tree.

also a small set of steps that lead downward towards a portal of some

sort. Near the door to the south, a receptionist sits behind a desk in

the corner. There is a sign on the wall. Next to the sign is a shiny

TROLL






Used in stories to frighten children or during war times to impress bar
lasses and as sources of humor in puppet shows, the troll is always a
villain for the "civilized" world. Standing well over the tallest human,
their monstrous looks and unclean smell have earned them this image. With
green, black, brown, or mixed skin that often have boils and open blisters
almost all trolls look as if they have stepped out of a nightmare. They
have lanky dangling limbs with long digits. The true hair color of most
trolls is usually covered by a mass of filth.

Living in the high mountains the troll has grown accustom to the cold
sterile air and dangerous heights. Being some of the most hearty of many of
the races, few wounds ever are deep enough to cause long term damage to a
troll. Though the fact brings much fear into human infantry, it is now well
known that fire and acid cause great damage to these creatures.  Standing
at over 12 feet, most beings do not get close enough to employ such tactics
against them.

Due to their nature, all trolls are evil. And because of their lack of
proper learning, they are often too dull to become learned in the ways of
sorcery. They are among the strongest of all the races, and often the most
deadly. Those rare trolls who have managed to learn magic must remain evil
or they will lose the ability to perform their incantations.

CHANGELING



Changelings are a race of humanoids that can change their shape into
various forms. They can become bats, wolves, bears or almost any form in
the realms.  At one time, they could form a third arm and wield a third
weapon (trinal wield), but ever since the Black Warlock in the Magic Forest
mixed his nasty brew and set a yellow haze all over Thera, changelings have
no longer been able to perform such a feat. Before the yellow haze,
changelings could not wear anything on their torsos, but since losing the
ability to form their third arm, they have discovered that like all others,
they too can cover their chests. Their origins are said to come from a song
but this is a point that has been hotly debated over the years.

Their high intelligence and wisdom allow them to do well as mages, but
their quick reflexes give them an edge in the non-magic classes, They do
well as Anti-Paladins, Thieves and Warriors. Slender in frame and thin
boned, most changelings in true form are about five feet tall weighing
around 120 pounds.  While in bat form, they can have a wingspan of up to
five feet and are usually black as night, but since they can change shape
so readily, colors and size are rather trivial to them. The wolven form is
usually one of a large wolf, while some favor a hybrid humanoid-wolven form
that gives more flexibility in wielding weapons. This form gives them
unmatched speed compared to any other race.  Finally, the last shape that
they can shift to with little effort, the bear, is the one that changelings
discovered gives them the greatest strength but lacks much agility and
speed.

Each form of a changeling imparts certain benefits and vulnerabilities.
Changelings are a short-lived race, most likely due to the various

walks of life and in any path, being as versatile with their minds as they
are with their bodies.

cobblestone roadway equidistant from four of the main shops in town.

Main Street extends eastward and westward, while Bridge Street 

stretches on towards the north and south.  A stone stair off to the

side leads upward. Along the side of the stone stair is a bronze plaque.


A tree off to the side bears a news scroll. The weathered parchment

is crudely nailed to the trunk of the tree with metallic nails. A 

second scroll, much newer than the first, is carefully attached to

  Mirrors cover the walls and ceiling, and yes, a shiny metal surface

of the room, hanging from the ceiling, is a ring of iron which holds

four lit torches, balanced. The light reflects back and forth, lighting
