Well not so fast,  of course our cat beau has to  get sick. Luckily we
had planned  two weeks and the  cat was quickly mending  after the vet
visit. They aren't sure what caused  it but they gave him some oxygen,
steroids, and  antibiotics. They  sent him  home with  some antibiotic
pills and some  pro-biotic to sprinkle on his food.  We spend the rest
of the  week nursing  him back  to good  health. Luckily  he recovered
quickly. 

With a week of vacation to spare off to the coast we go. 
We did a bit of fishing, relaxing on the beach
and some  more relaxing on  the couch. I love  windsurfing so i  got a
couple days of that. It's been a year since we've been to the coast or
on vacation.  So the 1st  day i  spent most of  the time in  the water
exhausted. I  skipped the day with  gale force winds which  my younger
self would be very disappointed in  and went the following day. A cold
front had  brought the preceding storm  in and dropped the  water temp
into the 60s. After living and windsurfing in Colorado you would think
i would be more  acclimated to the cold (not that  cold) water but I'm
not. So i donned my wet suit and headed for the beach. There is a very
nice  rental shot  right  on the  water  so i  have  long since  owned
equipment.

So i jumped  on my board and off  i go. Not too long after  I'm in the
water. Looking  back i should  have gotten the  wet suit wet  and then
proceeded. That first dip was quit the  shock. I just sat there in the
water trying to slow my breathing  to normal. Once the water warmed up
the suit it was sunshine and butterflies.

All and all we had a wonderful time.
