******** J. and me went grocery shopping and decided spontaneously to have dinner at a nearby pizza place. It had stopped snowing by the time we left the supermarket. Fully packed we went slowly on the frozen pavement to the pizza place we have always joked is our favourite due to two different reasons. For J. it is the taste and the friendly personal. For me it is the name of the place, quiet nonsensical and even a little bit ridiculous. (And indeed the pizza is good.) We ordered two pizzas and a dip and had a little feast. The place was not too crowded, just a man eating quietly his pizza at another table and the coming and going of people picking up their pre-ordered pizzas. I was already replete by the half of the pizza but kept eating nevertheless. Maybe it has something to do with winter and the mammal instinct wanting to be on the safe side. We finished eating and J. picked up the bill. The total sum was a little less than we had calculated when reading the menu. I did not say anything and thought that it was maybe just luck. Later J. suggested a general discount for eating at the pizza place instead of a take-away. However, just when J. had finished paying one of the employees asked if we would like another pizza, free on the house. He smiled at us, already holding the warm pizza box towards us. Who could say no to that offer in that situation? Outside, we had now the bags and backpacks full with groceries and a warm pizza box that slowly got colder the closer we came back home. A piece of etropy with cheese, salamie and feta toppings. Later in the evening I could not resist the temptation of it and had one piece of it. Bliss. Etropy. Three pizzas.
