# Happy Hacking Keyboards I've used Happy Hacking Keyboards (HHKB) [0] for years, but I haven't bought a new one in a long time - probably 10 years ago I bought the last of the four I have. The oldest two are PS-2 models, and they all still work fine, although the white plastic has discolored over time. All four are the HHKB Lite-2 model (released in 2001), which is pretty narrow and with only 65 keys, but I've gotten used to that form factor and now typing on standard "wide" or laptop keyboard feels funny to me. The keys have a nice feel and sound, despite being non-mechanical. The best feature is that the CAPS locks key is gone, replaced by a control key, something really great for Emacs use. They are also very sturdy, and I'm glad they made them so well, as the new ones are absurdly expensive. Although I'm sure there are better, cheaper keyboards out there nowadays, I'm quite happy with these, and don't plan on buying a new keyboard anytime soon.
