# 19SEP2026 - International Talk Like A Pirate Day!

I love ths holiday. It's silly, and it was created to cheer people up during a pretty rough time for people. People in the USA, at least. (Or in "the west" or in the english speaking world, depending on your point of view I guess.) So I think it's a good day. Of course I'm far too self-conscious to actually talk like a pirate in public, let alone dress up! But still. AVAST YE SCALLYWAGS &ETC! 

In other news I do plan on doing a ROOPHLOCH post this weekend. Maybe two! One will probably just be on my phone while I'm out and about. But I do still want to try a wacky non-radio "transmission" method. I'm not sure that counts as "posting from outside" if I have to transfer the post to SDF on my desktop at home. But I don't think it violates the spirit of the challenge haha

We'll see what happens, I guess. I should look into static site (or capsule) generators as a way to automate the process. I write the updates to this capsule (and any updates to my website) by ssh'ing into SDF and writing the post in vim there. There Has To Be A Better Way!?
