Turns out using lwco.net on my phone is not terrible. In fact it works
fine. You press play and it then moves your focus to the input box and
type what you hear.

It's much harder than the apps, but I think it's a better teacher.
However, because it's hard I'm avoiding it now. 😅 It does 1 minute (or
whatever you set) of groups of 5 characters with a space between. This
gives you virtually no time to be thinking about what the sound is, and
forces you to move on. I like this better than the other apps which
essentially give you unlimited time and repeats to figure out a letter.
Which often leads me to visualising the dits and dahs (what hams call
dots and dashes, as that's the sound they make) to figure it out. Which
is completely the wrong way to do it.
