August 16th, 2011:

	I spent the better part of the evening wracking my brain, trying 
to write a proper gophermap.  The problem I was having was a simple one... 
I couldn't get gopher to read my welcome text, which I had linked as a 
text file.

After an hour of changing paths, renaming the file, checking syntax, etc, 
I did the ONE THING I *should* have thought of in the first place... SET 
THE PROPER FILE PERMISSIONS!

Ah well, as this is my first gopher site and I'm going in relatively 
blind, it's forgiveable.

So, now that I have taken the initial steps and everything seems to be 
working, where do I go from here?

Wouldn't we all like to know that?
