No persons are evident but up ahead you hear rushing water. The trail descends slightly and opens into another large clearing as the source of the rushing water sound is made clear. You can see a stream feeding a waterfall to the east (opposite you); the water falls onto a rock ledge and then into a clear and deep pool of water. The pool (and ledge) is about 20 feet below you and about the same distance in diameter. An occasional fish can be seen darting around the pool. The way down is steep and rocky on all sides. The rocks are moss-covered, wet with the rain or spray from the waterfall, and appear slick. The path does not continue from the clearing - only the stream leads away to the east. Actions? As Xavward approaches the hole in the floor, he notices that it appears to be a tunnel entrance, sloping down and away under the back cave wall and appearing just wide enough for one person to fit through. He can't see much else, even his keen Elvish vision has limits in the dark. Fistbeard, once he gets closer to the back of the cave, doesn't think moving the boulder will be necessary. Actions?
