I've just had my first chat on xmpp, and the first time in any sort of 
'chat room' for many a year. And it felt good! While that was happening, 
an email came in as a result of a post here. What a win! Connecting with 
actual people! This is what the internet was promising to be, before 
someone discovered they could turn it into a giant cash cow for a very 
few. I'm thrilled!
