Of all sins, that humanity ever made, well, all are irrelevant before this one, the ever-damned bane of man, the antithesis of Exalted Sophia, the one that is called the Ignorantia. The term "Ignorantia" (lat. Ignorance) itself has a very broad meaning, depending on the specific context of situation, but for all instances, and for all I care, the simplest explanation of it is: The lack of knowledge, in conjunction with indisposition to gaining knowledge, and wilful or unconscious refusal to acknowledge facts about reality either those of mundane intellectual or spiritual realm. And while the Ignorantia is mostly harmless, as for example children know very little, thus are ignorant of a lot of problems that can be encountered during life (but children are also very curious about world, and willing to learn which redeems them, that's why Ignorantia in children is called Ignorantia Innocua), the real threat starts, when ignorant person becomes malicious, at this point we begin to call it Ignorantia Malevolens, the definition of which shall I reveal to you is: The lack of knowledge, in conjunction with indisposition to gaining knowledge, wilful and/or conscious refusal to acknowledge facts about reality either those of mundane, intellectual or spiritual realm, which leads to moral and/or physical harm inflicted upon oneself, or any other member of society one lives within. So to recollect our knowledge until this point, Ignorantia is the hypostasis of I. Innocua and I. Malevolens. As far as my observations led me, children are MOSTLY guilty of I. Innocua, and adults are MOSTLY guilty of I. Malevolens, but that is not a rule, children can be wilfully and conciously malevolent, and adults can make genuine mistakes based on forgetting or not knowing something, this happens. But then, if only those three sins are the core of all evil in the world, then what about those seven sins, which ICXC talks about. Do not quiver in fair, but quiver of excitement Wisdom-seeker, for I shall lift the veil of secret on this matter for you. I had a good reason to say, all the other sins are irrelevant, because, all sins, that are not Ignorantia, stem from it. While not apparent in every case, let us put on our workbench the biblical Pride. To begin with, I think "pride" is a wrong term for a sin, which ICXC meant, but you know, it's not easy to translate biblical hebrew to english, so we can overlook that. The more appropriate word would be "arrogance" - Arrogantia. Having that clear, let's take Arrogantia apart! A simple explanation of Arrogantia could be: Ignorantia Malevolens where harm is usually moral - a person perceives themselves better, either based in morality, intellectual abilities, social and/or financial status, or on or myriad of other things you can feel better than others about, where harm is usually inflicted by verbal and gesticulation means. So considering the definition the definition of I. Malevolens, and given definition of Arrogantia, which is actual definition of arrogance which I found in my encyclopaedia and paraphrased, we can, I think easily conclude that Arrogantia is Ignorantia in Malevolens domain. To put it more clearly, I shall devise you a graph, Wisdom-seeker, hence behold: Ignorantia | v Malevolens domain | v Arrogantia All right, we covered how sins derive from each other, a question might arise in your mind, oh Wisdom-seeker, "But Ignorantia can be unconscious, so I might not even know I sin, what now?". Fear not, for I also have an answer for that. The key is to learn. In order to redeem your sin (oh Sophia Excelsa, it sounds so pompous), you have to learn - do the work of uniting with Sophia. Repenting is also important, but do not repent too much or it will hinder learning and logic abilities. But what to learn? Learn what is your fault. Have you hurt (verbally) your spouse? Take a walk, and think what you said, and why did it hurt, and when emotions calm down, talk to them, for communication in relationship is of utmost importance. Have you failed in job? Then think what you did wrong in this case, and do not repeat the mistake in the future. "And what if I already learned all of this?". Well then, take action to redeem yourself in eyes of other people, or your own. Say sorry to your hurt spouse, and compensate to them for your ignorance. If you hurt yourself, compensate to yourself, learn something new. Have a book you always wanted to read, but had no time to do it? "Punish" yourself by taking some time to read. After all, learning about world, even the smallest things, often bring happiness and satisfaction, and is a way to connect with Regnum, which puts you into union with Sophia, furthering your part of work in Constant Creation. With these words fare well, Wisdom-seeker, and may fate work in your favour. Addendum: Ignorantia Innocua - Ignorantia, but without the indisposition and wilful refusal, the refusal is unconscious.
