text: The TildeVerse is a movement started in October 2014 by [[http://tilde.club/~ford|Paul Ford]] that aims to create on-line social networks using the Unix user shell as a platform, and is comprised of Ford's flagship host [[http://tilde.club|tilde.club]] and a number of other hosts inspired by it.
	
	Although [[http://tilde.club|tilde.club]] has been closed for new member applications, there are plans to link TildeVerse hosts with shared e-mail, news, and chat facilities.
