The father of roleplaying [

passed away yesterday morning.

I had never heard of this man before today, but I am well aware of his
legacy (he was a co-creator of D&D and GenCon, if you aren't bothering to
pull up the article).  Having been exposed to many roleplaying systems, it
is very apparent how much influence D&D has had on the last 20 years.

I find it somewhat strange that even though I never met this man or even
knew about his existence before now, he seems like a kindred spirit.
