I know that some people keep (or at least provide habitat for) strange
animals.  There is the common-yet-unusual ferret keeper, or the odd,
perhaps reclusive individual that wants to own a pet spider.  Or pigs -
some people want pigs as pets too, rather than as a food source.  So I
suppose it shouldn't be too strange that someone decides to provide a
habitat for bats.  I guess I wasn't expecting there to be a market for bat
houses though.  Perhaps this is just an area of life to which I have no
exposure.

This would be very cool where we live, as mosquitoes thrive by the pond
near our house.  Any bats we keep would be fat!  Unfortunately, I don't
think it would go over too well with the neighbors, so it isn't likely to
happen.

Also, I'm not interested in any bat house that doesn't look like a coffin.
