I've mentioned before my predilection for minimalist housing [

[archpaladin.net], but in my wanderings I have stumbled upon yet another
housing possibility: the portable kind.

I have found this site [ http://simplydifferently.org/ ]
[simplydifferently.org], which is maintained by an individual who spent at
least some 5-6 years living out of tipis and yurts.  He has documented his
construction process and the pros and cons of these and other housing
styles for people who might be interested in doing the same.

I have to admit that I don't think I would end up living in a yurt, but it
has a certain cool factor to it.  If I could manage a lifestyle that was
basically electricity- and internet-independent I might go for it.  At the
very least it makes an awesome substitute for using tents when going
camping.
