MEDICAL MISSIONS

When I was in high school I was part of a medical mission trip to South
America.  We had a few medical professionals (ie. nurses, doctors,
dentists, and so forth - the specifics varied each year) who would travel
with a group of people to an impoverished area and provide free medical
services.  In exchange, people who showed up would go through a Bible study
before getting treated.

[acuwithoutborders.org] being done, albeit without the spiritual
implications.  Reaching out for its own sake is good too.

These are projects that I think I would like to be involved in as a
practitioner.  Of course, I will need to raise money to do that, but I
think that can be managed.
