DIFFERENT RESPONSES

[bbc.co.uk] is not just a culture difference.

I don't recall hearing any news stories about CEO's of American
corporations who apologized to Congress and the public for giving
themselves a lot of money.  Particularly now, but even back when oil
companies were posting record profits while maintaining that the market for
oil and gas was so bad that they had to charge nearly $5 a gallon.

I truly hope that the mentality in this country changes to be more
considerate of the needs of others, and I hope that this gets reflected in
business by the way they handle their money and investments.  I really do
hope this, and I wonder just how long something like this would take to
come about.  Because if it would take too long - say more than 4-8 years -
it will never happen.
