THE GREAT HOUSING SEARCH (Posted 2007-05-14 13:19:10 by ArchPaladin) So last Saturday my fiancee and roommate had a yard sale to get rid of all our excess stuff. Sadly, we started a little late and there was a bit of trouble getting signs up to advertise it, so we didn't sell a whole lot. Ended up donating most of it. Nevertheless, we made enough to buy a set of new cooking pots, which was what we were aiming for anyway. We have finally reached our last hurdle to moving: actually finding a place. Ideally, we're looking for a three-bedroom place in Nashua that allows cats. We also have a cap on the amount of money we're willing to spend on rent and utilities. And of course, after looking at some places in the paper and on craigslist, the only places that meet those criteria currently on the market are in the not-so-good portions of Nashua. I blame all the returning college graduates for stealing our housing. This is all I have to say about that. [ http://www.archpaladin.net/images/unacceptable.png ] [archpaladin.net] Right now our alternatives are either (a) get a 2 bedroom place, or (b) change our location to somewhere further north. We have about two-ish months, so I suspect something else will come along in the meantime, but I'm not really excited about either alternative. -------- There is 1 comment on this post: Comment #1 by Krys ( auggiememnon@yahoo.com ) on 2007-05-14 16:26:19 hahaha! penguin!!! So cute. Yeah, even a large-roomed 2 bedroom will not be enough for three people who need their space... and an office, and a gaming room. Luckily, as summer settles in, more places appear. Our perfect place is out there somewhere, just waiting for us to find it. ^_^ ...before those college graduates do. Because it would be very unhappy to not have us, I'm sure.
