HOLIDAY TIMES (Posted 2008-12-09 12:31:34 by ArchPaladin) Before I get into actual content, it is interesting to see that that stuff I wrote about in my last post appears to be close to accurate [ http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20081208-broadbad-green-tech-get-love-from-obama-recovery-plan.html ] [arstechnica.com], and that Obama is getting good reviews [ http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/09/Obama.poll/index.html ] [cnn.com] for it. I will be watching all this unfold closely. I have not been posting for a number of reasons. There has been Thanksgiving, and then work has picked up somewhat, and now my first semester at NESA is drawing to a close. After that will be Christmas. Put all of these things together, plus a general lack of weird stories that I've found in the news, and there is not much to put down here. I've gotten away from the personal rants and other angsty stuff that fills blogs of teenagers, but the flipside of that is that what content does get put down for public consumption will be a little dissociated from my personal life. As much of what has gone on lately has been more personal and family-based, I have a dearth of content. I find this business around the holidays both good and bad. I think the increased stress is bad, but I like that I get to see family more, and that there is a general sense of celebration going on, and that there is often a lot to eat. This is also a good time to try and dissociate from the mundane work that happens throughout the year and evaluate personal progress, to self-reflect and see what should be done next year. I haven't quite done this yet, but I have been generally pleased with how the year has passed. -------- There are no comments on this post.
