I don't usually keep up with this kind of news, but it made Slashdot today,
so I happened to go to the article.  I usually take all this stuff with a
grain of salt because it's common to hear about new species being
discovered in the wild or how we don't entirely know all the different
forms of life that exist on the planet.  Thus, it seems a little early to
be saying we have the pulse of the planet.

Still, there is something to be said for all the climate data.  I find that
there is so much of it out there - with so many corresponding political
views - that it's hard to make a good, non-biased, well-informed opinion on
the matter.  I like frogs and salamanders though, so right now I'm going to
have to go with this news being a bad thing.
