On August 12 I observed the solar eclipse. In my zone it had an obscuration of 94%. In Bragança district, north of Portugal, it had an obscuration of 100%. The eclipse was total. It must have been beautiful to see. I'm terrible at handling certain situations due to my anxiety. I was never diagnosed, but I suspect I have social anxiety. The other night at the hotel I got a strong anxiety attack and I found it very difficult to talk with the costumers. Heart was racing. My hands trembling. And I allowed one thing to happen when it shouldn't. I have to get an appointment with the doctor one of these days and see what's wrong. I feel my anxiety is getting worse each year. I though it would go away when I got older, but it was the other way around. Today my town celebrates the 15 August. There will be a catholic procession where they carry the statue of Our Lady of Salas, the patron saint of the fishermen, from the chapel to fishing harbour. Once there, the priest will bless the fishermen and their boats. After the mess is complete, the boats, all decorated with colourful flags, will go for a short ride beyond the breakwater. I will be working today until 4pm. Let's see if I make it on time to attend the festival. I'm not much interested in the procession, but to ride on myfather's boat would be nice.
