The other day I was sitting at a cafe and I was observing the street. In that 
street, in front of the cafe, there's a bus stop for buses that are travelling
from town to town. A bus arrived and a woman came out of it and met her
family with a wide smile on her face. Then they started hugging each other. I
thought about it and found it fascinating. Because is a common behaviour 
anywhere in the world. We need more of this human warmth, this compassion. The
world is diving too much into darkness.

Some days ago I played some levels of Heretic. While playing I thought about 
how back in the days games explored more of satanic themes and dark
dimensions. It's not that there's no games today that explore those themes but 
back then it seemed more recurrent and with another vibe. Like there was more
weirdness. I don't know exactly how to explain it.

These games also make me remember Metal Music and certain album covers/themes.
Maybe that's where the devs got their inspiration.

Tuesday I was on night shift. I had to make some hotel's routine tasks, so I 
locked the door and got out of the reception for some minutes. When I
returned, two guests were knocking on the door, mad drunk, and screaming 
"hellooo?" making a lot of noise. I opened the door, they came in and started
to argue with me because I left them outside for several minutes. It wasn't
that much, but they were so drunk that everything was an excuse to argue with
me. Good thing I'm a very patient guy. I didn't raise my voice or argued with
them, being polite till the end. And probably that's what avoided the
situation to get even worse. They finally went up to the room and never 
bothered me again. It's just like fire. If you don't want it to burn even
further, stop feeding it with more wood.

This is the downside of working in hotels/costumer service. Once in a while we 
get difficult costumers.

Today I got in the mail a zine from Hal McGee, the creator of HalTapes, where I
participated. Arriving home and fiding stuff like this on my mailbox is an  
immense joy.

And I'm back to Xfce desktop environment. After a while with i3wm I got tired 
and needed to change to something else. I always do this. It's a circle.
Xfce -> i3wm -> Xfce and so on. Xfce is my favorite DE. For tiling window managers
i3wm is my go to. It just works for me.
